The 2025-26 NBA schedule is the 80th regular season for the league. The schedules for all of the teams and postseason are posted as they become available from the NBA. The NBA Playoff schedule is set based on the 2025 NBA Playoffs. This will be the third consecutive season that we see the NBA Cup (new name for the in-season tournament).
2025-26 NBA Regular Season
The 2025-26 NBA schedule kicks off with the first games on October 21st, 2025. The regular season continues through April 12th, 2025. We are starting to see some of the NBA preseason schedules come out already. Once we have those all published, we’ll put them out for you as well. When is the 2025-26 NBA Schedule Release?
So, we don’t have confirmation from the league on the 2025-26 NBA schedule release date yet. Since we came out of COVID, the schedules have been released in mid August. It will come out sometime in August. Here’s some more information on what dates are more likely than others for the official 2025-26 NBA schedule release.
2025 NBA Summer League Schedule
Everyone loves watching the NBA Summer League Schedule to get a sneak peek at the rookies. Some will play more than others, while we’ll also see some players who were drafted in 2023 and 2024 try to make some big jumps in their playing ability. Each of the leagues features different teams and tournament locations.
California Classic: July 5, 6 & 8
Salt Lake City Summer League: July 5, 7 & 8
NBA 2K26 Summer League (Las Vegas): July 10-20

- June 30: Each NBA team may begin negotiating with all other upcoming free agents (beginning at 6 p.m. ET)
- July 5-6, 8: California Classic Summer League at Chase Center in San Francisco, California (Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs)
- July 5, 7-8: Salt Lake City Summer League at Jon M. Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City, Utah (Utah Jazz, Memphis Grizzlies, Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers)
- July 6: Each NBA team may begin signing free agents to contracts (12:01 p.m. ET)
- July 10-20: Las Vegas Summer League
- 2025 Preseason: NBA Abu Dhabi Games | Knicks vs. 76ers | Oct. 2 & 4 in Abu Dhabi
- 2025 Preseason: Melbourne Series | Pelicans vs NBL teams | Oct. 3 & 5 in Melbourne, Australia
- 2025 Preseason: NBA China Games | Nets vs Suns | Oct. 10-12 in Macao
- October 21: Regular Season Opening Night
