The 2024 NBA Playoff schedule starts on Saturday, April 20th, 2024. The playoffs wrap up with the NBA Finals that start on Thursday, June 6th, 2024. Prior to the playoffs, the NBA holds a Play-In tournament between the #8 through #10 seeds in each conference. The outcome of these games is the winners are the #7 and #8 seeds in each respective conference bracket. Additional details are below.
When do the NBA Playoffs Start Play?
The 2024 NBA Playoffs technically start with the Play-in tournament. The tournament is held from April 16-19, 2024. The First round of the playoffs then starts on April 20th, 2024.
What is the 2024 NBA Playoff Schedule?
The following is the overall 2024 NBA Playoff schedule. There are four rounds of play in the postseason tournament. If you count the Play-in, that makes for 5 “ish” rounds based on how you like to do math. The NBA Playoff schedule dates are not set in stone in between the first round and the playoffs. If every series is a sweep, or a combination of series that go less than the full number of allotted games, the start dates move up. We’ll keep you updated once the playoffs get started.

When Do the 2024 NBA Finals Take Place?
The 2024 NBA Finals take place June 6-23, 2024 (if it goes the full seven games). They are a best of seven game contest. Once a team gets to four wins, they win the SHIP.
What TV Channels Show the 2024 NBA Playoffs?
The NBA playoffs will be shown across several networks this year. These include ABC, ESPN, TNT, and NBA TV. The 2024 NBA Finals will only be shown on ABC (part of the ESPN family of networks now).
