The 2024 Olympic water polo schedule takes place from July 27th through August 11th, 2024. The preliminary rounds (or group stage if you’re a soccer fan) are taking place at the Paris Aquatic Center. The quarter finals and on are being held at the Paris La Défense Arena. There are 12 teams competing for the men’s water polo schedule and 10 in the women’s during the Paris Summer Olympics.
How do Water Polo Teams Qualify for the Summer Olympics?
First, the host nation always gets a spot if they want it. Next, is the IOC and World Quatics (AQUA) ratify / confirm and then release the qualification criticate for the 2024 Summer Olympics. These are a mix of rankings or outright winning qualification tournaments that are all approved. The last quotas for the 2024 Paris Games were awarded at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar. Water Polo is one of the more popular Summer Olympics events, so Paris should prove no different for us this year.
2024 Olympic Men’s Water Polo Groups
The men’s water polo teams are divided into two groups. They play a round-robin style schedule to get seeded before the quarterfinal round of play. The top four teams from each group move on to the knockout stage of the Olympics.

If you live in the United States, the 2024 Olympic water polo TV schedule is going to be on NBC. They will show the US matches live and and replay when it makes sense. The events are also going to be streamed on Peacock. If you have a major streaming service like Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, or Fubo, then you will also get the Olympics via the NBC channels included with those services.
