How the 12-Team Bracket Works
Each league sends six teams. The three division winners take the top three seeds, and the next three best records earn the Wild Card spots as seeds four, five, and six. The top two seeds get a bye straight to the Division Series. In the Wild Card round, the No. 3 seed hosts the No. 6, and the No. 4 seed hosts the No. 5, each a best-of-three with all games at the higher seed. The Wild Card winners then meet the rested top seeds in the Division Series, and the bracket runs through the LCS to the World Series.
