The 2026 Field, and MLS Returns in Full for 2027
The 2026 edition ran with a reduced Major League Soccer presence, which is why the final four is a mix of MLS sides that opted in. That changes next year: all 27 eligible MLS clubs are set to return to the U.S. Open Cup for 2027, the competition’s fullest field in years. For 2026, though, the trophy runs through these four, and the road ends October 21.
