The 2024 MLB Playoff schedule continues with the World Series bracket on Friday, October 25th, 2024. The New York Yankees travel to take on the LA Dodgers for game #1 of the best-of-seven series. The first team to win four games is the World Series Champion. This will be the 12th time the two teams have met in the World Series.
2024 MLB Playoff Schedule – Updated through Championship Series
The 2024 MLB Playoff schedule now shifts to a best-of-seven game format for the World Series. The Wild Card round was a best-of-three game series, and the Divisional series were best-of-five. The ALCS and NLCS were best-of-seven game series. If the Dodgers had won in five instead of six games over the Mets, then we would have started the World Series out on Tuesday, October 22nd vice this coming Friday. The series will see the first two games played in LA. Then, the next three games are scheduled for New York. If we are still playing, the series comes back to LA for games six and seven.
