The 2024 Colorado football schedule kicks off on Thursday, August 29th, 2024, against North Dakota State. The Deion Sanders-led Buffaloes make their return to the Big 12 conference this season. They left in 2010 but are back. After three non-conference games, Colorado plays Nebraska and Colorado State on the road.
The last game of the 2024 college football regular season for Colorado is on November 29th at home against Oklahoma State. If you like to watch spring ball, the annual Black & Gold Day spring game is on P12N this Saturday (if you get the channel).
Colorado Home Opener Moved to Thursday Night
Colorado’s home opener against North Dakota State was moved from Saturday, August 31st to Thursday, August 29th. The schools made the announcement regarding the change here recently. They will play at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado. The TV channel and kickoff time get released closer to the day. This is the first time that Colorado has hosted a Thursday Night football game since 2012. Then, the Buffaloes took on Arizona State University. All pretty cool for Coach Prime entering his second season leading the Buffaloes. This will be the first time that the two schools have played each other.
Colorado Football Schedule Updates
So, if you found it hard to follow conference realignment, you’re not alone! It is crazy. Anyway, for 2024 there are 15 football teams in the Big 12 now. For the 2024 Colorado football schedule, they will play nine of the 15 teams. These include: Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Texas Tech, Arizona, Utah, Central Florida, and Cincinnati.
A cool thing with the Kansas game is that it will take place at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. This is the homefield of the Kansas City Chiefs (it used to just be Arrowhead Stadium, but you know money). Here’s the Colorado schedule.
