The Seoul Series schedule is out. MLB opening day will see the Dodgers vs Padres for two games in Seoul, South Korea. This is the first time that MLB will start a regular season in South Korea. The big opening day for Major League Baseball occurs on March 28, 2024. The Dodgers vs Padres occurs on March 20-21, 2024 at Gocheok SkyDome in Seoul.
Which Teams are Playing in the Seoul Series Schedule?
Before the Dodgers vs Padres matchups to kickoff the 2024 MLB regular season, each team has a set of games against Korean baseball teams. There are two clubs from the KBO League as well as Team Korea that play the MLB teams at Gocheok SkyDome. The Dodgers take on the Kiwoom Heroes and the South Korean national team.
The Padres take on the reigning Korean Series champion LG Twins. San Diego has the arguably harder matchup with the Heroes falling below .500 last year and losing Jung Hoo Lee to the San Francisco Giants this year. The Padres take on Team Korea as well before the games against the Dodgers. Team Korea will be short a few players to include Ha-Seong Kim (Playing for the Padres on this trip) as well as several other players who are with their MLB clubs during spring training back in the States.

If you live anywhere but in San Diego or LA, you can watch the MLB Seoul Series on ESPN. LA and San Diego have the game blacked out. If you live in LA, then Spectrum SportsNet LA has you covered. Both of these local options will show the exhibition games on March 17th and 18th, 2024. What are the Dodgers and Padres Prospects for the MLB Postseason?
I think the only people not picking the Dodgers to win the 2024 World Series are either Padres or Yankees fans. LA is heavily favored to win more than 100 games again this year and go deep in the MLB playoffs. San Diego hasn’t made as many big splashes in the free agent market this year as last. They are picked to fall a little behind LA in the division, but it’s a long season. If San Diego stays healthy, the Dodgers vs Padres rivalry throughout the season should be fun to watch.
