The 2024 NCAA basketball tournament TV schedule is one of the busiest sports schedules in the United States. Once the field of 68 teams is confirmed on Selection Sunday, fans will scramble to fill out their brackets and enter local and national contests to pick the best brackets. The opening games of the March Madness TV schedule this year will be during the First Four games on March 19-20, 2024. What is the 2024 March Madness Tournament Schedule?
The overall March Madness Schedule starts with Selection Sunday on March 17th, 2024. From there we get into the First Four and opening rounds of play. The TV schedule for the first few rounds of play is fairly evening split between truTV, TNT, TBS, and CBS. Highlights of the schedule include:

2024 NCAA Basketball Tournament TV Schedule
The 2024 NCAA basketball Tournament TV schedule delivers live coverage of all 67 games in the tournament. The Selection Sunday Broadcast will air on CBS at 6 PM ET on CBS. The NCAA is using four national television networks for the 2024 edition of March Madness: CBS, TBS, truTV, and TNT. All games will stream for free on the NCAA March Madness Live app and games on CBS will be streamed on Paramount +. Games on TNT, TBS, and truTV will also stream on Max’s B/R Sports Add-On to deliver additional options to consumers.
What TV Channels are the Games on Today for March Madness?
It just depends on which round of the 2024 NCAA Men’s basketball tournament that you are watching for what channel the games will be on today. truTV is airing 13 total games. These include the First Four and other games in the First and Second rounds of the tournament. TNT is on the docket to air 12 games from the First and Second round games. CBS is showing 21 games that includes the Eight Eight, Sweet 16, First, and Second rounds of the games. Finally, TBS is scheduled to air 21 games throughout March Madness to include the 2024 National Championship.
Watching the March Madness Final Four this Year
For the 2024 Final Four, TBS gets the nod to air the games on Saturday, April 6th, 2024 and the championship game on Monday, April 8th, 2024. The Final Four is in Phoenix and is the second time the NCAA has hosted this round of play in the city (2017 was the previous occasion). The Final Four TV coverage begins with The Final Four Show, Built by The Home Depot) from 3-4 PM ET. Then, At the Final Four presented by Nissan is shown (4-5 PM), and the last pre-game event, The Final Four Show (5-6 pm).
