The 2024 SWAC basketball tournament schedule is taking place March 13-16, 2024. Bartow Arena in downtown Birmingham, Alabama is the host site for the men’s and women’s tournaments. Pepsi is the tournament sponsor for 2024, and the tourney champion earns an automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA basketball tournament.
How Does the SWAC Conference Tournament Seeding Work?
Only the top eight seeded teams in the SWAC earn a postseason bid to the conference tournament. The common, head-to-head record is used to break ties. If the two tied teams split their matchups during the regular season, the records against higher seeded teams are used to break the tie. ***March 8th updates. So far, Grambling State is the only team to lock up a seed in the 2024 SWAC Men’s basketball tournament. They will be the #1 seed. We’ll keep you updated as the seeds and teams get firmed up.
