The 2024 Patriot League Basketball Tournament schedule kicks off with first round games on Tuesday, March 5th, 2024. PenFed is the tournament sponsor. The quarterfinal games are schedule for Thursday, March 7th, 2024. The opening two rounds are scheduled to stream on ESPN+. The Semi Finals take place March 10th. The Patriot League Men’s basketball tournament championship is on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024.
How Does the Patriot League Conference Tournament Seeding Work?
All of the teams in the Patriot League (10) will qualify for the conference tournament in 2024. The overall seeding is by record in conference. The top six teams in regular season play earn a bye for the first round of the tournament. If two teams are tied, the Patriot League uses a head-to-head tiebreaker first. If the teams remain still tied, then the NCAA NET ranking on the day after Patriot League regular season play concludes is used. Pretty straight forward. The conference tournament champion earns the automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA basketball tournament.
