How the 2027 American Conference Tournament works
Only the top 10 finishers in the 18-game conference race reach Tampa, and they are seeded 1 through 10. The bracket is a stepladder: the top two seeds get a double bye straight to the semifinals, seeds 3 and 4 get a bye to the quarterfinals, seeds 5 and 6 open in the second round, and seeds 7 through 10 start in the first round. Win four games in five days from the bottom of the ladder and you are cutting down the nets on Saturday, March 14.
