How the 4-team seeded bracket works
With four teams there is no need for byes, because four is already a power of two. The bracket seeds the matchups so the strongest teams are kept apart: Seed 1 plays Seed 4 and Seed 2 plays Seed 3 in the semifinals. The two winners meet in the final, which means the top seed and the second seed can only collide in the championship game, exactly as seeding intends.

How seeding works
