The top four seeds in the 2024 NCAA Hockey Tournament are Boston College, Boston University, Denver, and Michigan State. The Frozen Four (aka the semifinals) are on April 11th, 2024 with the Championship game the next day. The schedule is setup so that it wraps up before the 2024 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs kickoff.
What are the 2024 NCAA Hockey Tournament Region Assignments and Seeds?
16 teams earn spots to play in the 2024 Frozen Four schedule. There are automatic qualifiers from the CCHA, Big Ten, Hockey East, ECAC, and NCHC. The NCAA uses PairWise to pick the at-large spots (10 of them total). From there, the teams are seeded from #1 to #16. The top four seeds get to be the top dog in their respective region.
