The 2024 NHL Playoff schedule now kicks off on April 20th, 2024. The playoffs continue through the Stanley Cup Finals that start on Monday, June 3, 2024. The Finals are the only one in professional sports that are referred to by the name of the trophy. Professional hockey teams have been able to compete for the trophy since 1906. We have all the information that you need to know about the playoffs and more below. We will update dates, seeds, and matchups as information is confirmed by the NHL.
When do the NHL Playoffs Start Play?
It feels like all major sports after March Madness have big events on April 15th, 2024. The NHL playoffs start soon after. The first round of play starts up on April 20th. This round of the single elimination series play goes from April 20nd through May 6th, depending on how many games each series takes for a winner.
What is the 2024 NHL Playoff Schedule?
The 2024 NHL Playoff schedule lasts for four rounds. They go from April through June. The timing of the playoffs is similar to the NBA Playoff schedule. These dates are based off of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoff schedule. The NHL may adjust them a tad once they confirm the playoff schedule. We’ll update you when they do. In the meantime, we have an updated 2024 NHL Playoff picture posted for you to see where your favorite team sits.

When does the Stanley Cup Finals 2024 Take Place?
The 2024 Stanley Cup Finals get started on Monday, June 3rd, 2024. They are a best of seven game series. If the championship round goes the distance, we can see a game 7 as late as Monday, June 24th, 2024. What TV Channels Show the 2024 NHL Playoffs?
This depends on which country you live in. If you are in the United States, the 2024 NHL Playoffs will be shown on TNT, ESPN, ESPN2, and TBS. For Canadian hockey fans, the games are shown on Sportsnet and CBC.
