The 2024 Women’s Ivy League basketball tournament schedule takes place March 15-16, 2024. The tournament is held at the Levien Gymnasium on the campus of Columbia University in New York City. Ivy Madness for the women’s tournament takes place at the same time as the men’s. The winner of the championship game will earn the conference’s automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Women’s basketball tournament.
How Does Ivy Madness Seeding Work for the Women’s Tournament?
Seeding for the Women’s basketball tournament is the same rule set as for the men’s. There area always ties with there only being eight teams in the conference. You can see with the 2024 standings, that some of the tie-breakers had to be used. First, if two teams are tied, their head-head record is used. If still tied, then the record against the top teams in order of conference record is used. The final tiebreaker uses metrics. The league uses an average of the NCAA NET, KenPom, NCAA NET, and ESPN BPI to break the tie.
