The 2024 NFL Draft schedule is quickly approaching. The draft always takes place after the dust has settled on March Madness and the NBA Playoffs have gotten going. For this year’s draft, it will take place between April 25th-27th, 2024. The 2024 NFL Scouting Combine just wrapped up (March 4th), so it will be interesting to see how the draft landscape shifts prior to the day. 2024 will be the 89th NFL draft.
Who is Projected to get Picked First in the 2024 NFL Draft?
We don’t seem to have a lot of debate over this one for 2024. The consensus is that we’ll see USC quarterback Caleb Williams to be picked first by the Chicago Bears. The first day of the draft will be Thursday, April 25th. Other 2024 NFL prospects expected to be drafted high are Drake Maye (UNC quarterback), Marvin Harrison, Jr. (Ohio State wide receiver), Washington quarterback, Michael Penix, Jr., and LSU quarterback, Jayden Daniels.
2024 NFL Draft Schedule (TV and Stream)
The 2024 Draft Schedule takes place over three days similar to past years. Make sure you check back with us ahead of draft day in case the NFL adjusts the times or network coverage. The first round of the draft takes place on day 1.
Friday will see the second and third rounds with Saturday including rounds four through seven. The NFL will normally schedule the draft on the last Thursday in April every year if you are trying to estimate when the 2026 NFL Draft might take place. The draft will be live streamed on ESPN, NFL Apps, YouTube TV, Fubu, Hulu + Live TV, and other major streaming providers that include ESPN and ABC.

Where is the 2024 NFL Draft being Held?
The 2024 NFL Draft is being held in Detroit, Michigan. If you plan on attending the event, you can register for free tickets to the draft from the NFL here. That’s pretty cool. The draft events will be at Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza. The NFL publishes a Detroit visitor’s guide for the draft here too.
The draft was held in New York for 50 years until the league started moving the location every year. The 2023 NFL Draft was held at Union Station in Kansas City while the 2022 NFL draft was at Caesar’s Forum in Las Vegas, Nevada.

2024 NFL Team Regular Season Schedules
The league waits until the 2024 NFL draft schedule is complete before we see the schedules confirmed for the teams. We expect the 2024 NFL regular season schedule to be released in the front half of May once the dust has settled on the draft outcomes. This lets the focus remain on the players taken in the draft before we all start nuking out the odds for our favorite teams. Before you know it, it will be time for the 2025 NFL Playoffs and Super Bowl.
