The 2024 Tennessee football schedule starts on August 31st, 2024. The Volunteers host Chattanooga at home at Ben Neyland Stadium. Tennessee’s first SEC game is on the road against the Oklahoma Sooners. The Vols travel to Arkansas after an off week, before returning to play at home against the Florida Gators on October 12th, 2024. The Vols wrap up regular season play on November 30th on the road at Vanderbilt.
What’s Different for Tennessee Football in 2024?
There are two big news items in SEC play this season for fans. First, the East and West divisions are no more. The top two seeded teams in the SEC at the end of the regular season will earn spots in the SEC football championship game that is scheduled to take place on December 7th, 2024. The next big deal is the additions of Texas and Oklahoma to the conference. Tennessee enjoys four non-conference games this year. There is a proposal to expand the SEC slate of games in 2025 to nine games. So, we’ll see what happens.
