The 2024 American Basketball Tournament schedule commences on March 13th, 2024. The men’s conference tournament picks up on the final day of the 2024 Women’s American Athletic Conference basketball championship that starts on March 9th, 2024. The men’s championship tournament will take place between March 13-17, 2024. Both tournaments will be held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas for the fourth consecutive year. One of the most conveniently located conference tournaments, there are six of the 14 schools in the conference located within driving distance from Fort Worth.
How Does the American Athletic Conference Seeding Work?
The top four teams during the 2024 American regular season play earn a double bye for the basketball tournament. The six through 10 seeds enjoy a single-bye in tournament play. Seeds #11 through #14 face off in the first round of the tournament on March 13th. For the lower seeds to win the 2024 American Conference tournament championship, they would need to win a total of five games in five days.
