How the 2027 Field Is Set
The 16-team bracket is revealed on Selection Sunday in mid-March. Six spots go to the conference tournament champions as automatic bids, and the rest are at-large selections based on the PairWise Rankings, the metric that mirrors the NCAA committee’s criteria. Teams are seeded and split across the four regionals, and one team from each advances to the Frozen Four.
