Six non-alumni teams play at the M Resort in Las Vegas (July 22-30), with group play followed by knockout rounds. The Mecca has been the story of the Vegas side, which is now down to its final:

  • The Mecca def. Knueppel Crew 76-69, then def. Heartfire Elite 84-80 to reach the final.
  • Red Rose War Ready def. Gotham City Bockers 65-63.
  • Davis Steel advanced from group play to meet The Mecca in the Vegas final.
  • Non-alumni final (July 30): Davis Steel vs The Mecca, with the winner advancing to the August 2 championship.

What is the Elam Ending?

When the game clock reaches 4:00 in the second half, it is turned off at the first dead ball and a target score is set (the leading team’s score plus 8). The first team to reach the target wins, so every TBT game ends on a made basket and there is no overtime.
