2026 WNBA All-Star reserves
The 12 reserves were chosen by the WNBA’s 15 head coaches (three guards, five frontcourt players, and four at either position) and announced Tuesday, July 7, completing the 22-player pool. Los Angeles Sparks forward Nneka Ogwumike earned her 11th All-Star selection, tying Diana Taurasi for the second-most in league history behind Sue Bird (13), while Toronto’s Marina Mabrey and Seattle’s Dominique Malonga are first-time All-Stars.

Team Cooper and Team Weatherspoon draft results
The rosters are set. On July 15, honorary GMs Cynthia Cooper and Teresa Weatherspoon drafted the 22 All-Stars into two teams live on ESPN. “Team Coop” won a coin flip and was assigned top vote-getter Paige Bueckers, while “Team Spoon” was assigned Caitlin Clark. Weatherspoon then made the first roster pick, taking four-time MVP A’ja Wilson, and Cooper answered with Breanna Stewart. Team Coop wears WNBA red and is coached by Las Vegas Aces coach Becky Hammon; Team Spoon wears blue under Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve. The two teams also play for a $100,000 prize pool benefiting two Chicago organizations that keep girls involved in sports. On July 22, the WNBA named Phoenix Mercury guard Kahleah Copper an injury replacement for Kelsey Plum on Team Coop, after the Los Angeles Sparks guard was ruled out with a lower-leg injury; it is Copper’s fifth All-Star selection.
