How to use the tracker (and the four jerseys)
Each day, note the stage winner and who leads the overall standings on time – that rider wears the yellow jersey into the next stage. The tracker’s legend also covers the other three classifications so you can follow the full race.
- Yellow (maillot jaune): overall race leader (lowest total time).
- Green (maillot vert): points classification, usually the best sprinter.
- Polka dot (maillot a pois): King of the Mountains, best climber.
- White (maillot blanc): best young rider aged 25 or under.

Stages to watch in 2026
- Stage 1 (July 4): a rare team time trial in Barcelona opens the race and hands out the first yellow jersey.
- Stages 3 and 6 (July 6, 9): early Pyrenean mountain days that shake up the GC.
- Stages 19-20 (July 24-25): back-to-back summit finishes at Alpe d’Huez – likely where the Tour is decided.
- Stage 21 (July 26): the finale into Paris with a Montmartre circuit.
