The wait is over. The 2026 NCAA Division III Baseball selection show has finalized the 60-team bracket, featuring 42 automatic qualifiers and 18 at-large bids. Denison University enters the postseason as the No. 1 ranked team in the nation, leading a powerhouse field that will compete across 16 regional sites starting Friday, May 15. 2026 DIII Baseball Tournament Schedule & Key Dates

The DIII Baseball tournament is a multi-stage tournament. Mark your calendars for these key milestones in the 2026 postseason:

  • Selection Show: Monday, May 11, 2026 (10:00 AM ET)
  • Regionals: May 15–17, 2026
  • Super Regionals: May 22–23, 2026
  • DIII World Series: May 29 – June 4, 2026
  • Location: Veterans Memorial Park | East Meadow, NY

Note: Some regional sites involving teams with no-Sunday play policies will begin on Thursday, May 14.

Tournament Format & Selection Process

The 60-team field is comprised of 42 automatic qualifiers (conference champions) and 18 at-large bids selected by the NCAA committee.

  1. Regionals: 14 four-team double-elimination sites and 2 two-team best-of-three sites.
  2. Super Regionals: 8 two-team best-of-three series.
  3. DIII World Series: The final eight teams advance to a double-elimination format in East Meadow to decide the National Champion.

2026 Regional Sites and Host Highlights

The 60 teams are divided into 14 four-team regionals and 2 two-team regionals. Winners of each double-elimination pod will advance to the best-of-three Super Regionals.

Confirmed 2026 Regional Hosts & Notables:

  • Gorham, Maine Regional – Host: Southern Maine (Feat: RIT)
  • Eastlake, Ohio (World Series Site) – Classic Auto Group Park
  • Top Seeds to Watch: Denison (NCAC), Lynchburg (ODAC), Wisconsin-Whitewater (WIAC), and Salve Regina (NEWMAC) are all high-priority seeds hosting or leading their respective pods.

The 2026 DIII World Series (Eastlake, OH)

The final eight teams will converge at Classic Auto Group Park in Eastlake, Ohio, from May 29 to June 4. The World Series is co-hosted by the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, the Lake County Captains, and the North Coast Athletic Conference.
