Major 2026 International Storylines

  • The Rio Debut: The NFL officially confirmed during the 2026 Draft that the Baltimore Ravens will head to Brazil to take on the Dallas Cowboys on September 27. This marks the first-ever regular season game in Rio de Janeiro at the historic Maracanã Stadium. Last season, we saw our first game in Brazil at São Paulo with the Packers and Eagles facing off.
  • Double 49ers Duty: The San Francisco 49ers are making history as the first team to play two international games in the same season. They open the season in Australia against the Rams and then head to Mexico City in December to close out the international slate. Jacksonville and San Francisco also play two games abroad this season.
  • Parisian Premiere: The New Orleans Saints will host the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first-ever regular-season game in France. With the Saints’ historical ties to French culture, this is expected to be one of the highest-demand tickets of the year.

  • Why are there two Jaguars games in London? Jacksonville has a multi-year commitment to the UK. They typically play one “Home” game at Wembley and another game at Tottenham as part of their long-term growth strategy in the European market.
  • Will the 49ers play in Mexico City every year? The NFL has a multi-year commitment to Estadio Banorte (formerly Estadio Azteca) through 2028, and given the 49ers’ massive fanbase in Mexico, they are expected to be a frequent visitor.
