The 2026 Toronto Tempo WNBA schedule is officially set for the franchise’s historic inaugural season โ€” and it spans the entire country. As the WNBA’s first-ever team outside the United States, the Toronto Tempo will play 44 regular-season games: 22 at home across four venues in three Canadian cities and 22 on the road. The season opens on Friday, May 8 vs. the Washington Mystics at Coca-Cola Coliseum and concludes on Thursday, September 24 @ the Connecticut Sun. The Toronto Tempo are the WNBA’s 16th franchise and the league’s first team based outside the United States, officially announced on May 23, 2024. Owned by Kilmer Sports Ventures โ€” led by billionaire Larry Tanenbaum, with notable co-owners including Serena Williams, Sukhinder Singh Cassidy, and Lilly Singh โ€” the Tempo represent a landmark moment for women’s basketball in Canada. Head coach Sandy Brondello, a two-time WNBA Champion who led the New York Liberty to the 2024 title, brings elite championship experience to the expansion franchise. General Manager Monica Wright Rogers, a two-time champion as a player and former assistant GM of the Phoenix Mercury, rounds out an accomplished front office. The Tempo’s primary home is Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, but in a nod to their national identity, the team will also play home games at Scotiabank Arena (Toronto), Bell Centre (Montreal), and Rogers Arena (Vancouver).
