The NBA schedule for the 2024-25 regular season is the 79th for the league. The schedules for all of the teams and postseason are posted as they become available from the NBA. The NBA Playoff schedule is set based on the 2024 NBA Playoffs. This will be the second consecutive season that we see the NBA Cup (new name for the in-season tournament). We’ll see the All-Star game on February 16th, 2025, at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
2024-25 NBA Regular Season
The 2024-25 NBA schedule kicks off with the first games on October 22nd, 2024. The regular season continues through April 13th, 2025. We are starting to see some of the NBA preseason schedules come out already. Once we have those all published, we’ll put them out for you as well. We’ll also get to see a few preseason and regular season games played outside of North America this year.
When is the 2024-25 NBA Schedule Release?
So, we don’t have a confirmation from the league on the 2024-25 NBA schedule release date yet. Since we came out of COVID, the schedules have been released in mid August. Last season it came out on Friday, August 18th, 2023. The year before, the NBA put the schedule out on Wednesday, August 17th, 2024.
Assuming they won’t put the schedule out on a Saturday, we can expect the NBA schedule release to probably be on Friday, August 16th. The Olympics wrap up on August 11th, so we could also see the schedules come out as early as August 14th. If doing a Wednesday, or the third option would be Monday, August 12th. We will not see any interference with the Men’s Olympic basketball schedule for the NBA like we do with the WNBA. The NBA schedules typically come out after we see the NHL schedule release too that normally happens in July.
Key NBA Schedule Dates
So, here are some of the key NBA schedule dates for you to track before the regular season starts as well. We start off with the 2024 NBA Draft and its TV schedule. Then, you get a mix of Team USA (all NBA players) and NBA skeds mixed in there for you too.
June 26: NBA Draft 2024 presented by State Farm (First Round – 8 ET, ABC, ESPN)
June 27: NBA Draft 2024 presented by State Farm (Second Round – 4 ET, ESPN)
July 6: Each NBA team may begin signing free agents to contracts (12:01 p.m. ET)
July 6, 7 & 9: California Classic Summer League in both Sacramento & San Francisco
July 8-10: Salt Lake City Summer League (UTA, MEM, OKC, PHI)
July 10: USA Basketball Showcase in Las Vegas: USA vs. Canada (10:30 ET, FS1)
July 12-22: NBA 2K Vegas Summer League (Las Vegas)
July 15: USA Basketball Showcase in Abu Dhabi: USA vs. Australia (Noon ET, FS1)
July 17: USA Basketball Showcase in Abu Dhabi: USA vs. Serbia (Noon ET, FS1)
July 20: USA Basketball Showcase in London: USA vs. South Sudan (3 ET, FOX)
July 22: USA Basketball Showcase in London: USA vs. Germany (3 ET, FOX)
July 26-Aug. 11: Paris 2024 Olympic Games

2024-25 NBA Schedule
The 2024-25 NBA Schedule kicks off on October 22nd, 2024. Each team plays an 82 game regular season. Last year, all of the Play-in games did not count for the winners against the 82, so we’ll see if the league changes up anything there since success is hard to plan for with a set number of games for the schedules. Once the league confirms what everyone is doing, we’ll have the team schedules up for you in grid and printable PDF format for the season.

When and Where are the 2024-25 NBA International Games?
There are two 2024-25 NBA preseason games being played in the UAE. The Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets are set to play at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on October 4th and 6th, 2024. For the regular season, we get to see games in Mexico City and Paris. At the time of this writing, we don’t have the teams slated for Mexico yet. We will see the Indiana Pacers and San Antonio Spurs play in Paris on January 23rd and 25th, 2025. They will play in Accor Arena.
