The 2025 March Madness Schedule kicks off with Selection Sunday on March 16, 2025. From there, the men’s basketball games for the 2025 NCAA Tournament start with the First Four. These games take place March 18-19, 2025. The 2025 Final Four and Championship game take place April 5th and April 7th respectively. The Final Four returns to the Alamodome for the 2025 postseason. Specifics for the 2025 NCAA Tournament schedule are below.
2025 March Madness Schedule
Once the TV assignments are made for 2025 March Madness, we’ll update you here. We expect that Selection Sunday for the men’s tournament will remain at 6 PM Eastern Time. If the NCAA decides to swap the time with the 2025 Women’s March Madness schedule, we’ll keep you posted. At the conclusion of 2024 March Madness, there were no indications on a change in time yet.

2025 March Madness First and Second Round Schedule
Some great locations for the opening rounds of the 2025 NCAA Men’s basketball tournament. This is the first time since 2013 that Rupp Arena has hosted the men’s tournament. The 1985 Final Four was held there in the past (before we went all Stadium bent for max tickets). Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse is the host / hosted the 2024 Women’s Final Four and championship.

2025 Sweet 16 and Elite 8 Schedule
Right now there is no change in the PAC-12 being the host of the West Regional. We’ll see if that changes with the conference being at two members (at the time of this writing). If it does, we’ll update you here.

2025 Final Four and Championship Game Schedule
The Alamodome has hosted the Men’s Final Four four times since it opened in 1993. After the 2025 Final Four, it is scheduled to host the 2029 NCAA Women’s Basketball tournament Final Four. The NCAA is not considering the facility for the 2031 NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament. Indications are that at the age of 38, the Alamodome may be considered too old to host future tournaments. So, we’ll just have to wait and see.
