A common question that arises this time of year is where is the Super Bowl for the next five years? While we are all waiting to see a great matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers during Super Bowl LVIII on February 11th, 2024, many fans are looking forward to next season and beyond. The 2024 Super Bowl will be the first played at the Raiders home field, Allegiant Stadium, in Las Vegas, Nevada. We have the answers to the locations as far out as published by the NFL for you below. We also have the Super Bowl date projected for you out until the 2037 Super Bowl.

How Does the NFL Pick the Super Bowl Location?

The NFL abides by a fairly strict set of requirements to choose the stadium to host the Super Bowl. It used to be that weather played a major role in the league picking a city to host the game. This is why we’ve seen so many Super Bowls played across Miami, New Orleans, Tampa, San Diego, Pasadena, and LA since the game was started in 1967. 

Stadiums now have to have at least a 70,000-spectator capacity, and they need to be able to host pregame entertainment. If a city is being considered, the NFL will ask, and they will put together a package (formerly called a bid) to host the Super Bowl. The owners will vote on future host cities and the league will make the announcement of who was chosen for the respective year.

Super Bowl 58 – Feb. 11, 2024: Allegiant Stadium – Paradise, NV (Las Vegas Raiders)

Super Bowl 59 – Feb. 9, 2025: Caesars Superdome – New Orleans, LA (New Orleans Saints)

Super Bowl 60 – Feb. 8, 2026: Levi’s Stadium – Santa Clara, CA (San Francisco 49ers)

Super Bowl 61 – Feb. 14, 2027: SoFi Stadium – Inglewood, CA (Chargers/Rams)

Future Super Bowl Locations

2024 Super Bowl Location

The 2024 Super Bowl, Super Bowl LVIII is scheduled to take place on February 11, 2024, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The stadium first became operational in 2020 and is able to host more than 65,000 fans. The stadium was built at a cost of nearly $2 billion USD and has a domed roof. If you have not been to Las Vegas since it was built, you can’t miss it while driving into town. It will definitely be fun for those who like gaming beyond just a basic Super Bowl Squares contest.

2025 Super Bowl Location

The 2025 Super Bowl, Super Bowl LIX is scheduled to take place on February 9, 2025. Super Bowl 59 will be held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, LA. This will be the first time the game is held in New Orleans since Super Bowl 47 that occurred on February 3rd, 2013. That game saw the Baltimore Ravens defeat the San Francisco 49ers in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. After the 2025 game, New Orleans will be tied with Miami for hosting the most Super Bowls at 11. 

Future Super Bowl Locations (2026-2028)

2026 Super Bowl Location

The 2026 Super Bowl, Super Bowl LX is scheduled to take place on February 8th, 2026. Super Bowl 60 will be held at Levi’s Stadium. This will be the second time the stadium has hosted the game. Previously, Super Bowl 50 was played there which was Peyton Manning’s final game as an NFL quarterback. Levi’s Stadium first opened in the summer of 2014 and was north of $1 billion USD in construction costs.

2027 Super Bowl Location

The 2027 Super Bowl, Super Bowl LXI is scheduled to take place on February 14, 2027. Super Bowl 61 will be held at SoFi Stadium. The city previously hosted Super Bowl 56 that saw the LA Rams defeat the Cincinnati Bengals on their home turf. The stadium seats more than 70,000 spectators and will also be a site for the FIFA World Cup in 2026 and the 2028 Summer Olympics.

2028 Super Bowl Location

The 2028 Super Bowl, Super Bowl LXII has not had its location or date confirmed by the NFL. It will be interesting to see if the league sticks with warm weather locations such as Miami or Houston who have not hosted for a few years, or if a colder location indoors like Detroit is considered. So, another common question that gets asked is what date is the Super Bowl on? While the further out in the future we look, the date is super tentative, we have the projected Super Bowl dates listed for you out to the 2037 Super Bowl. Some big assumptions that we make on this list are: 1 – The NFL regular season doesn’t expand further to an 18 game regular season and 2 – The number of teams who earn a spot in the NFL Playoffs does not increase.
