Caitlin Clark Crunch Time Cereal: Can You Still Buy It?

So, when looking into all of her NIL deals, I came across Caitlin Clark Crunch Time Cereal. I was like, that is so cool. I haven’t even heard of a college athlete not connected to the Olympics that you could see on a cereal box. So, naturally, that brings up the big question for her fans…can you still buy it? We’ll get into that and some more for you below.
When did Caitlin Clark Crunch Time Cereal get Released?
On January 11th, 2024 Hy-Vee Supermarket chain announced the partnership to release Caitlin Clark Crunch Time cereal. The defending Naismith Trophy winner and ESPN Midseason Player of the Year entered the agreement with the grocer and her non-profit, Caitlin Clark Foundation. The cereal will see a limited production and is available at selection Hy-Vee stores. What’s cool, is that 100% of the proceeds that Caitlin sees from the cereal will go to the Caitlin Clark Foundation. Her foundation’s primary mission is to uplift and improve the lives of youth and their communities. So far, it’s been a pretty awesome year for Clark as she broke Pete Maravich’s record for the most points ever in NCAA D-1 basketball (and is still going). The donation to her charity continues the tradition of cereal box athletes giving back to the community.
What are Some Well Known Cereal Box Athletes?
So even though National Cereal Day was on March 7th, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t keep talking about one of my favorite foods while we are heading into March Madness and beyond. Wheaties is the best-known cereal to feature famous athletes on the box over the years. Known by its slogan, ‘The Breakfast of Champions' ' since 1934, the cereal brand started putting athletes on the box in 1958. Some of the famous legends to appear on Wheaties boxes include: Michael Jordan, Michael Phelps, Serena WIlliams, Shaquille O’Neal, Ken Griffey JrGabby Douglas, Jesse Owens, and more. Jordan has appeared the most on the Wheaties box (19 times), and he was one of their primary spokesmen in the 1990s.
What’s Cooler than Having Your Own Cereal Box?
Well, having one that you autograph and give away as part of a contest! On February 12, 2024, Hy-Vee put out a press release announcing the contest. The contest started at midnight Iowa time on February 12th, 2024 almond continues until the supplies run out. The company distributed 19,092 boxes of Caitlin’s Crunch Time cereal to Hy-Vee Food Store and Dollar Fresh Markets. To enter, you have to buy a box of cereal. The company states a 1 in 1,909 chance of winning. How cool is that?
Can You Still Buy Caitlin Clark Crunch Time?
At the time of this writing, Hy-Vee still lists Caitlin Clark Crunch time for sale on their Website.
Caitlin Clark's Crunch Time. I don’t have a Hy-Vee locally, but if you go on E-Bay, you will find the cereal listed from between $20 and $85 USD. Most of the listings on E-Bay are folks who won the contest and are reselling the autographed cereal box. If you are a big Caitlin Clark collector, this might not be a bad collectible to pick up looking at how much her basketball cards are selling for. Either way, it’s all pretty cool for one of our favorite college basketball players.
