The 2024-25 NBA preseason schedule is slowly coming out. The first preseason game takes place on October 4th, 2024. The teams are expected to play 5-6 games ahead of the 2024-25 NBA regular season. As matchups and times are available, we are including them for you below. We can expect the NBA to publish a roll-up of all the teams schedules when available. The 2023-24 preseason saw the teams play a total of five games.
When does the 2024-25 NHL Preseason schedule Take Place?
The 2024-25 NBA preseason schedule starts on October 4th, 2024. Opening day for the 2024-25 NBA regular season takes place on October 22nd, 2024. Since we’re on an Olympic basketball cycle, we could see some variance in the release dates for the final schedules to come out. Odds are, we’ll have all of the preseason games confirmed before the Olympics get started in late July. If the NBA follows suit with past years, we can expect to see the 2024-25 NBA regular season schedule release between August 14th and August 16th, 2024.

2024-25 NBA Preseason Schedule – International Games
It’s pretty cool that we get to see the 2024 and 2023 NBA Finals Champions play two games against each other to kick off the 2024-25 NBA preseason. We’ll have to wait for the regular season to play out to see if these two teams can meet up again in the 2025 NBA Finals.

2024 NBA Summer League Schedule
We get to enjoy a good amount of basketball in the 2024 NBA Summer league schedule ahead of the preseason. For many fans and teams these games are the first time that we get to see rookies picked in the 2024 NBA Draft play professionally. Teams mix up their rosters to include 2nd year players and G league ones too. We have two locations for the California Classic this season, the Salt Lake City Summer League, and the big one, the NBA 2K25 Summer League in Vegas. The Vegas Summer League sees all of the NBA teams participate.
