The 2024 X games schedule is out. The summer games take place Friday June 28th through Sunday June 30th in Ventura, California. After not being held in California for 10 years, the games returned in 2023 and are back again this year. All of the events will be televised live on the ESPN family of networks, and we’ll go over the schedule, telecasts, and more for you below.
What Events are Held at the Summer X Games?
So, the X games were made famous I think by Tony Hawk. We get skateboarding, BMX, and more extreme sports. There will be more than 150 athletes competing in the three-day competition. The organizers make this an event, so there is also a concurrent music festival and appearances by stars and athletes for autographs. The event has definitely matured since I went to the very first one. It’s pretty cool though if you’re anywhere around Ventura this summer to check it out.

The 2024 X Games schedule for the summer events in Ventura is listed below for you. All times listed are in Pacific Time (ie the local time for Ventura, California). For the locations, there are three to four to keep track of: dirt track, street contest location, skate park, and the vert location. You can confirm the exact place to be at the X-Games portal on the day you plan to attend events (or before based on your planning timeline). The games only take three days and start after the College World Series is over but before the LIttle League World series qualifying tournaments really get hot and heavy.

What is the Summer X Games TV Schedule?
There will be more than 50 hours of coverage of the games across ESPN, ESPN2, and ABC. They are really increasing the amount of content that is streamed on X Games digital, YouTube, and Twitch again this year as well. It’s all pretty cool. You can pretty much check out all of the events from last year as well. The events are carried live for the TV schedule based on what we have laid out for you above on the day-to-day events at the Summer X Games.
How Does the X Games Music Festival Work?
So, if you buy a ticket to attend the X Games, you get into the music festival too. That’s right. I’m actually surprised it’s not an upsell, But, all good. The set times won’t get confirmed until closer to the games. On Friday, June 28, Wiz Khalifa and Other Artists are the headline act. You normally will see other house bounds play ahead of the main acts at the X Games (just like a concert). For the Saturday sets, the headliner is Kaskade and Other Artists. Sunday is TBD.
