Ok, so it’s time to look at the MLB home run leaders for 2024. Right now, Mookie Betts is killing it leading the league with four home runs already. Now, he got a head start on the league with the Seoul Series against the Padres, but he’s in the clear lead. Lourdes Gurriel is second with Manny Machado leading a long string of players at two dongs so far. We’ll come back and update you here on the leaders at least weekly if not more often. Aaron Judge is the consensus favorite to lead MLB in home runs this season, but we’ll see. Don’t underestimate new teammate Juan Soto with the short Yankees right field porch either.

The home run picture will start to clear up some more as we get deeper into the 2024 MLB regular season. For now, Betts is killing it. *** Updated April 9th, 2024. Betts is now tied with Mike Trout, Tyler O’Neil, and Marcell Ozuna with 5 HR’s for the MLB lead. Several other with 4 with Hernandez.

*** Update April 10th – Well, Mike Trout and Tyler O’Neil have jumped up to 6 HR’s to lead MLB now. We’ll see how the rest of this week goes!

So, most sites that get into this type of thing have Aaron Judge as the favorite to lead MLB in Home Runs this season. We’ll see how it goes. A healthy Judge normally == lots of dingers. Add Juan Soto to the mix, and we’ll see.
